Committees and technical work

Here, you will find an overview of all technical committees, specialist areas, joint committees, expert and working groups in the DKG. In these committees, our members - also in cooperation with other scientific societies - create the basis for joint lobbying and research work as well as industry-wide (national but also international) knowledge transfer.

By networking our committees, holistic issues (e.g. from raw material to application) can be discussed and solutions proposed in joint meetings.

DKG FA-/FG work matrix 2024

The DKG expert committee (FA) and technical expert committee (TFA) are based on the content of the ceramic process chain. This is to be seen independently of the respective material class and an application under consideration.
The DKG specialist areas (FG) are basically designed to represent a customer-oriented application of ceramics in the system context.

The main topic is the simulation of manufacturing processes as well as technical applications of ceramic materials.

DKG FA 2 "Raw materials"

The focus of the technical committee's work is on ceramic raw materials.

DKG FA 3 "Process engineering"

The committee serves to exchange knowledge on preparation, processing and product development with ceramic materials.

DKG FA 4 "Thermal processes"

The expert committee deals with all topics of thermal processes, such as fuels, thermal conductivity, kiln technology and much more.

DKG FA 5 "Post-processing"

The expert committee analyzes and discusses, among other things, issues relating to the post-processing of ceramic materials.

DKG FA 6 "Materials and process diagnostics"

Forum for the exchange of experience on test methods, test equipment and trends introduced in industry and research.

DKG TFA 6-1 "Characterization of porous ceramics"

The main focus of the work of the Technical Expert Committee (TFA) is the in-depth examination of porous ceramics.

DKG TFA 6-2 "Thermomechanical properties"

The TFA 6-2 focuses on the determination and optimization of the thermomechanical properties of ceramic materials and components.

Topics of the expert committee form the whole technical ceramics from the historical and cultural-historical point of view.
