The main focus of the DKG specialist area 2 "Ceramics for electrical engineering and sensor technology" (DKG FG 2) is on ceramic materials in these two areas.

The DKG FG 2 provides a platform for the exchange of experience between universities, research institutes and industry. In addition to a symposium at the DKG annual meeting, one or two further events on special topics are held each year.

The main topics are:

Ceramic functional materials for electronic and electrotechnical applications (dielectrics, ferroelectrics, piezoelectrics, thermistors, ferrites ...)
Ceramic multilayer technology (HTCC, LTCC, ULTCC)
Ceramic materials and components for power electronics
Ceramic materials for optical applications
