The application of new types of carbon forms is the main focus of the committee's work. The technical committee meets up to twice a year. Topics include porous carbons for supercapacitors or carbon and graphite for lithium-ion batteries.

Other meetings have focused on topics related to the applicability of CNTs and graphene. When planning the technical committee meetings, suggestions from the members are taken up so that they optimally meet the expectations of the committee participants. The aim of the technical committee is to work in a technically distinctive way.
