The working group deals with applications and operating experience as well as the design of ceramic membranes.

The working group organizes two meetings per year. At these events, research institutions are given the opportunity to present innovations to other scientists and representatives of industry.

Since 2010, the working group has been working successfully with the ProcessNet Membrane Technology section. ProcessNet is the German platform for process engineering, chemical engineering and technical chemistry. The working group also supervises related round robin tests.

Aims of the working group:

Regular events of the manufacturers, developers and users of membranes
Scientific lectures and discussions on selected topics
Joint development of recommendations for the characterization and use of ceramic membranes
Participation in strategic issues of the Joint Committee on High-Performance Ceramics of the DKG and DGM
Identification of R&D needs and initiation of projects
